A collaboration between tradition Japanese architecture, and mid-century modern architecture.

This design uses the Kiwari System, a traditional Japanese system of proportions, not just to lay out structure, but to emphasize flow, and openness. It as well uses many Japanese architectural reference to define and interpret spaces, such as the Ma, the Genken, the Engawa, and creating a meaningful reference to Shakkei.

With a focus on calculated order, the design creates a sense of rhythm, balance, and harmony throughout.
