To achieve the stated conceptual goal for the project, the building’s spatial programming and design were informed by various agrarian archetypes and principles of regenerative/recursive systems. Throughout the design, the student mind was thought of as a seed to be planted into academia and nurtured through knowledge. Prominent formal gestures align with specific solar orientations to connect the intimately related agricultural and academic calendars. The program includes six modern classrooms, a test kitchen, laboratory space, a greenhouse, and a centralized exterior courtyard.
